2011 Junior Jam

Lynn's Dakotamart will, once again, sponsor the Countdown to the Jam, offering two special Junior Dragster Shootouts on Saturday, July 30.

The Junior Major division will pay $500.00 in US savings Bonds to win, with a $250.00 USSB for the runner-up.  Semifinalists will each receive a $50.00 Savings Bond.  Quarter final non-winners will each receive 5 gallons of VP M-1 Racing Fuel.

The Junior Minor division will race for $500.00, in USSB, to win, $250.00 for the runner-up and $50.00 to the semifinalists.  Quarter final non-winners will also receive 5 gallons of VP M-1 Racing Fuel.

Qualifying begins at 1pm, Eliminations at 5pm

Nasty Habit , based in Alexandria, MN, is a six-piece rock and roll/variety band from west central Minnesota formed in the Spring of 2006. The band plays a variety of cover material from Pat Benetar to AC/DC and from Gretchen Wilson to Buckcherry. With a mix of classic rock, top 40, country and originals, Nasty Habit plays something everyone is sure to enjoy.

The second annual Junior Jam, presented by Watertown Ford Chrysler, will bring the best of the region's Junior Drag  Racing League competitors together, competing for over $7700.00 in US Savings Bonds and other prizes.

The 2011 Junior Jam Major champion will walk away with $2000.00 in USSB and an Apple Ipad.  The runner up receives $1000.00 in USSB along with an Apple Ipod.   Semi finalists receive a $500.00 USSB and a $100.00 VP Race Fuel certificate.    Quarter final non-winners will cart off a 5 gallon can of  VP M-1 Racing Fuel.
