Mitchell's Cary Shonley Leads Oahe Speedway's Dale's A-1 Transmission Super Class Series

Cary Shonley, Mitchell, leads the Dale's A-1 Transmission Super Class Series at  Oahe Speedway, outside Pierre.

In a series sponsored by Dale's A-1 Transmission of Mitchell, Cary Shonley  has taken the lead in the 5 race competition at Oahe Speedway, outside Pierre. Shonley won the first of the races in May, came back in June to lose in the quarter finals and was runner up in the most recent competition in July.  Shonley holds a narrow margin over second place, Grant Pederson of Aurora.  Pederson lost in the semi finals in May, then came back to beat series sponsor team member, Dustin Long, in the finals of the June race.  Pederson fell victim to Shonley in the most recent race.   Shonley was able to take over the points lead from Pederson in that victory.  The battle resumes at Oahe Speedway, located 15 miles north of Pierre on August 18  in the running of the 4th race of the series. The 5th and final round will take place September 1 as part of a three day Labor day weekend race at the Speedway.
