#9
As the
season winds down, the points races in almost all
classes are coming down to round win and bonus point
separation.
Coca-Cola/Budweiser Super Pro saw a new race winner
in Jeff Baker, Jasper MN. Baker has competed
several times at Oahe and finally took home the
winner's check by defeating Jeff Friman of Pierre.
Friman singled into the finals in the semis and Cary
Shonley, Mitchell, fell to Baker in the other semi
match. Baker ripped off reaction times between .001
and .018 all day to gain the finals. Friman
utilized a .001 reaction time in the quarter finals
to defeat Pierre's Dale Garber.
Another
great field of Coca-Cola/Budweiser Pro class racers
was whittled down to Roger Hanson, Pierre, and Randy
Compson, Valley City, ND. Compson, coming off
his No Box Shootout win on Saturday, gave up the
final at the line, leaving.005 seconds too early.
Will Hatterman, Tilden, NB, was Compson's victim in
the semi finals and Hanson singled in to the finals
on a bye run.

won by Chris Boom, Pierre, over Ray Horsley, Pierre.

Pope, Pierre, in the semis. Horsley beat
2006 Oahe Speedway Bike/Snowmobile champ, Charles
Snyder, Belle Fourche, in the other semi match.

final. Ann Hirsch was defeated by Kimball in the
semi and Kyle Currier, Onida, lost to Peterson
in the other semi final pair.
Ron
Winterberg, Timber Lake, SD, and 2006 Oahe
Speedway champion, Bert Bogner, Oral met in the Beck
Motors Street Trophy finals. Winterberg
defeated an overanxious opponent when Bogner left
the starting line .012 seconds too early. Bogner's
quicker reaction time in the semis was unneeded when
Mike Haroldson, Pierre, broke out. Winterberg
was unopposed in the remaining semi.
Tyler
Ehlers and Carl Morris, both of Pierre, paired off
in the Snap-On High School finals. Morris
emerged victorious when Ehlers broke out. Points
leader, Josh Anderson, Pierre, lost to
Morris in the semis and Blunt's Alyssa Colson
was trailered by Ehlers.

North(Dakota) vs South(Dakota), came down to Carly

Fargo. Schiffner used a .018 reaction time to
side line Darcy Hadberg, Spencer, NB, in the semis.
