Dale Garber, of
Pierre, ran away with the winner's share of Sunday's
Gambler's Race at
Oahe Speedway. Garber defeated Cresbard's, David
"Corky" McGaugh, in the final. McGaugh left the
starting line a scant .011 second too soon, drawing the red
light. Garber powered through the lights with a quick
10.095 ET, on his 10.02 dial in, at 142.58 MPH
.
Ed Pope, of
Pierre, on his '05 Arctic Cat snowmobile, lost to Garber in
the semifinals and Tim Herman broke out against McGaugh in
the remaining semifinal match.
