March 16, 2017 Update
The Oahe Racer Assn board has come up short in obtaining the money needed to get the race track running for the 2017 season. We are $56,000 short.
So at this point of time we are calling it a season. But we are continuing to work on things and have the money needed to run in 2018.
We appreciate all the support and help of all the racers and friends of the racers, without you, we would have not been able to get as far as we did
March 13, 2017 Update
The board met tonight. We are at just about to 58% of the total amount of money and pledges. We only have a few more days to meet our goal to be able to run the track and have dedicated payouts. If we get closer, on Thursday of meeting our goal, a tentative full season schedule will be posted. Please pass the word.
March 5, 2017 Update
The Oahe Racers Association board was
introduced today. They are Jason Ehlers, Karen England, Curt England,
Ray Maize, Jessie Horsley, Raymond Horsley, LeRoy Uhrig,
Rose Kracht, Dusty Kracht, and Vinnie Elsinger.
A tentative schedule has been drafted.
The Oahe Racers Assn board is made up of racers trying to get the track running for racers. We are racers and we are planning on racing and having a track manager when the track is running.
Before we can get the track going, the board has determined at this time, that we still need 80,000 to 90,000 dollars either in sponsorship, donations, or investors.
We need to have this money pledged to the Oahe Racers Assn by March 15, 2017 either by contacting a board member or send an email to email@example.com.
If a racer makes a contact, that signs a contract, they can earn 3% in Oahe Speedway bucks, to use at the race track.
Until this money has been pledged, we can't go any further for 2017 race year.
