2nd Annual Division 5 National Open

 

 

     

The Minnesota Maniac and The Hustlers will return to
Oahe Speedway for the National Open on September 23 and 24.

 

Match Races between Two Blown-Alcohol Funny Cars

Be sure to catch the intense racing action between two Blown Alcohol Funny Cars on both Saturday and Sunday.  The Minnesota Maniac and The Hustlers will be competing against each other at speeds of nearly 200 miles per hour.

 

NHRA Classes - Super Street, Super Gas, Super Comp, Stock / Super Stock Combo

On Saturday of the National Open weekend, the NHRA Classes will be making several qualifying passes.  Eliminations will be held on Sunday.

 

Stock / Super Stock Combo organized by the Midwest Class Racer's Association

The Midwest Class Racer's Association will once again be organizing a S/SS Combo during the National Open.  Time trials will begin at 10:00 am for the combo, with eliminations starting at 2:00 pm.  Payout will be similar to last year's combo, with round money starting in the 2nd round and a $75 entry fee. So far, $3,500 has been raised in sponsorship money!

Money Shootout

Win $800 in the Money Shootout Race on Saturday.  The $800 Shootout Race is open to any vehicle.  All vehicles will run together in a laddered field based reaction times.  Details of the payout schedule are listed below. 

 

Trophy Shootout

A Trophy Shootout will start at 2:00 pm on Saturday with time trials.  The elimination rounds start at 5:00 pm.  The Trophy Shootout is open to any car or bike.  The filed will be laddered based on reaction times.  Both the winner and runner-up will receive a trophy. 

 

Jr. Dragster Shootout

Trophies will be awarded to the winner and runner-up of the Jr. Dragster Shootout on Saturday.  The field will be laddered based on reaction times.

 

Cars may run both NHRA and Oahe Speedway classes.
