2010 NHRA South Dakota Drag Racing State Championships

The first annual NHRA South Dakota Drag Racing State Championships

will be contested at Oahe speedway, on August 7, 2010. The competition will include Super Pro, Pro ET, Bike, Sportsman and Junior Drag Racing League classes. JDRL Major and Minor classes will run individual eliminators, with the winners of the two classes pairing off ,to determine the South Dakota Drag Racing State Championship Junior Dragster champion. Payout details of the Championships are listed below.

Please note that we will not contest Street Trophy and High School eliminators as part of the Championships. Regular competitors in those classes are invited to run in the Sportsman category.

Box or No Box Half Track Attack (1/8th Mile)

1/8th mile racing will feature 2 classes, Box and No Box. The fields will be laddered based on qualifying times. Payouts for these classes will be based on entry fees and will be paid out according to the details below.

Gamblers Race

A Gamblers Race may be held after two rounds of eliminations are completed. The Gamblers Race is open to first or second round non-winners or a participant not competing in the bracket races, yet one who has entered Test and Tune. The field is not laddered. Payout details of the Gamblers Race are listed below.

Test & Tune

Make an unlimited number of passes on any race day for $30.

8:00 am	Racer's Entrance Gate Opens and Tech Inspection Begins
1:00 pm	Spectator's Entrance Gate Opens
1:00 pm	Qualifying
5:00 pm	Eliminations

Gamblers Race	$30	Payout is 80% of entry fee. Winner 50% of Payout Runner-Up 25% of Payout Semi-Finalists Split 25% of Payout
Box or No Box Half Track Attack	$40	Payout is 60% of entry fee. Winner - 50% of Payout Runner-Up - 25% of Payout Semi-Finalists - Split 25% of Payout Box Half Track Attack-Electronics allowed No Box Half Track Attack-No Electronics
Test & Tune	$30	No Payout.

Concessions are offered on site and feature specially grilled and smoked items from The Outpost Lodge.
Restroom facilities available.
Racing fuel is available to purchase: M-1, 110, C-12, C-14.
