Duane Soper, Gettysburg and Miranda Vines, Eagle Butte squared off  in the
Rees Communications Street Trophy final on Sunday, June 7th.

Little did they know that the race would be decided by 3 thousandths
of a second and 4.79 inches just 1320 feet later.

Soper dialed his ’72 Pinto at 13.05 and Vines set her dial at 14.97 in her ’85 Camaro
With nearly identical reaction times, Soper at .062, Vines at .063,
this race had the potential to be close.

The win light told the tale with Soper crossing the finish
line a mere 4.79311632 inches ahead of Vines.

Adding to the tale Soper ran .001 off his 13.05 dial in at 13.051 and
Vines 14.973 run was just .003 over her 14.97 number.
All in, Soper took that win by .003 seconds.
