Compulink Timing System Company along with Oahe Racers Association have teamed up
and the result is something that could forever change the landscape of sportsman drag racing at the “Dam Fast Track”.
Called TruStart, it is a change to the starting line operations that handicapped tree drag racers
have either hated, understood, or lived with nearly since the inception of the genre.
What is it? Historically, in a handicapped race if the slower car red lights z
it automatically loses even if the faster car cuts a worse foul start when it leaves the line.
With TruStart that is over. If the slower car goes .001 red and the faster car goes .007 red,
the slower car will advance and move to the next round and the faster car will be eliminated.
We know one thing, the most dangerous words in the English language are, “That’s the way we’ve always done it.”…
Change is not always accepted at first glance…but it is the hope that this enhancement to our Sportsman program
will enhance the racing experience at Oahe Speedway.
