Dorothy Marie Jorgensen, age 82 from Sioux Falls, South Dakota went to be with her Lord and Savior unexpectedly on May 29, 2026. She is survived by three sons: Timothy (Margaret) Mohr, Steven (Kristin) Mohr, and Daniel (Becky) Mohr; eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, and sister Darlene (Rich) Vree. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1962. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She retired from the South Dakota Department of Revenue in 2016.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Vernal, five brothers-Clarence, Sid, Jim, Garrit, and Melvin; one half brother-Gilbert, and one sister-Alice. A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 4800 S. Minnesota Ave. Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57108 at 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 and a grave side service to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 2001 E. 12th Street, Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57103. Refreshments to follow the grave side service at Heritage Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be given to First Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
