Trace Beck, Beck Motor Company President, presented the eulogy at Mike’s funeral service last Thursday here in Pierre.
Mike was employed by Beck’s in the service writing department prior to moving to Rapid City. When you have an employee with a “face for radio and a voice to match” working for you, you naturally put him on the radio promoting all the services you have to offer.
Mike’s distinctive voice and delivery will continue as spokesman for the “on hold” information at Beck Motor Company.
Trace graciously shared these two recordings with Oahe Speedway. He notes the change in Mike’s voice from the early 2014 recording to a later version taped in 2015. The effect of his cancer treatments had begun to take its toll.
