A wild finish in the “B Field” Nitro Chaos final at Texas Motorplex saw Brian Kohlman edge out Jonn Kostelecky for the win. Just beyond the finish line, Kohlman’s Street Fuel Coupe suffered a catastrophic transmission failure, causing him to lose control and strike the guard wall. The car then rolled onto the driver’s side and erupted in flames. Fortunately, the fire was quickly extinguished, and Kohlman was able to exit the vehicle under his own power, though he suffered second-degree burns to his upper body. Thankfully, the Jorgenson and Miller dragster avoided contact with Kohlman’s car.
