On October 22, 1983, Mark married Dawn Rislov in Florence, South Dakota. The devoted couple was blessed with two children, Brent and Nicole.

Mark worked at Pepsi, driving the 7-Up truck. He then decided it was time to open his own business, and in 1995, he opened Mark’s Auto. Mark was a great and trusted mechanic to his many customers. Over the years, Mark’s Auto has been the place for daily check-ins with his many close friends.

Mark loved spending time with his wife, venturing out to different restaurants each weekend and going on little adventures. He loved to spend time visiting his kids. He was the best at giving advice. His grandkids were such a joy and he loved spending time with them. He also had a special love for cats, and was a great cat dad to many over the years. Another love of his was spending time at drag races and enjoyed being part of the crew. Mark was a friend to everyone and was loved for his generous nature and quick & quirky wit.

Grateful to have shared his life are his wife of 40 years, Dawn; his loving children Brent (Nicki) Mandery of Wichita, KS, and Nicole (Perry) Carr of Independence, MO; his 4 grandchildren: Weston and Collins Mandery and Porter and Rowan Carr; his sisters Nancy (Tom) Hokenson of Scandia, MN, Kim (Steve) Morock of Lincoln, NE, Beth (Alan) Hollatz of Watertown, SD, Stacy (David) Erdmann of Lincoln, NE; and his brother Ted (Nita) Mandery of Sioux Falls, SD and his many nieces and nephews.
